What a great clean side shore 3 - 4 ft session at Goolwa Beach South Australia, 22 - 28 knots and howling.

We had the normal assortment of Rebel 07s the super sweet new Rebel 2008 10m and yes even the Helix 12m Demo from Onboard.
Great day for intense kiting, super strong wind and clean waves. The Rebel was lit up again with some demo runs and impressed reports. (From the great North wind the day before at Port Willi) - Kyle's inital impressions are heaps of low end power on the 10m 08 Rebel and I watched some smooth kiteloops from the lad, lighter bar pressure and smooth turning. Tezza, the Doctor, Dazza and Pete got to ride it. Pete, Dazza and Doc being hard core Rebel riders. Unfortunately the conditions were a little radical to test the kites finer points. 22 - 28 knots gusty and side with a touch of feathering off shore.
Confirmation of the very light steering, if you are looking for a sure thing with light, and I mean super light bar pressure this is the kite, holds top end wind like a Rebel, and yes the smooth feeling through the depower power is definitely there.
Boosting is big as confirmed by Tezza, for me it was like 'I can't feel the boost but I seem to be up here in the air,"
Wave riding machine for sure.
Best thing is to Demo the Helix as so many have said it is hard to explain the ride, just have to try it. Also need to conisder that the Alliance seems to be an improvement to the Torch II and more so this is another super option from Naish. It is a 5th line set up as opposed to the Helix being an SLE.
