groundswell                - the raw swell size of the wave before it starts to form on the beach
air time                - about as far as many kitesurfers get in maths, time in seconds spent in the air over a kite session
hang time                - the time spent at a similiar height in a jump
capping                - the water is covered in wipe caps, normally acknowledged before a session as a promising sign
topped out                - where the wind exceeds the capacity of the kite
pus                        - there is not enough wind
full air                - the wind is very consistent and is not gusty
gusty                        - the wind is up and down in speed and making the session less than perfect

How to make a kitesurfer your best friend:
  1. Declaire that all social functions you hold are at night
  2. Tell them you own a massive yatch in the Whitsundays Islds
  3. Go to the beach with them with a camera and assist with launching and landing

for best results you will likely need to be wearing a skirt or bikini
How to confuse a kitesurfer:
  1. Whilst they are about to go on the water on a particularly capped out day, get a very attractive young person of the opposite sex to ask them back to their private beach house for some heavy petting. (whilst this will make no difference to the definite outcome that they will still kitesurf, it will temporarilly throw them off guard).
