North winds hit the Normie Coast this weekend and the true believers were there. Some had work, fam' commitments, doubts, but some didn't and hooked up into some nice north winds.
We started to discuss the ground rules for Normie as we come into summer. No kiting to the beach north of the Jetty as the Surf Life Savers set this area up for swimmers.
No show pony jumping near the beach where swimmers and mostly kids are playing. You have to allow 100 mts from any other beach goers, this allows for mistakes and equipment failure.
Although tempting to jump next to the jetty and for most of the year it is okay, we have to keep out further in summer and when people are around the beach.
it really is simple, make sure you have a good buffer zone and jump deeper out to sea.
Southcentralkiteboarders have good rapport with the SLSC and the Normanville Beach Cafe, so please abide by these rules.
